2024 – AXΩ attends NPHC Park Dedication

Alpha Chi Omega was proud to join members of the National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) at the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the newly dedicated NPHC Park on Florida State University’s campus. This momentous occasion honored the Divine Nine – the nine historically African American/Black fraternities and sororities that comprise the NPHC.

The park, located between the Student Union and Legacy Walk, features stunning sculptures created by FSU’s Master Craftsman Studio. Each of the nine organizations has its own monument, showcasing the rich history and contributions of the Divine Nine to FSU’s vibrant campus community.

Alpha Chi Omega was delighted to contribute to this important project, recognizing the significance of acknowledging all councils’ presence on campus. The NPHC Park serves as a powerful symbol of inclusivity, diversity, and the commitment to fostering a welcoming environment for all students.

During the ceremony, attendees celebrated not only the physical space but also the lasting impact of these organizations on FSU’s history. As Jamiah Johnson, vice president of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., noted, “The park symbolizes a commitment to inclusivity and diversity while fostering a sense of belonging for members of the NPHC and the wider community.” We couldn’t agree more!

This dedication marks a significant milestone in FSU’s journey towards greater recognition and appreciation of all Greek councils, setting a precedent for future collaborations and celebrations.
