The Beta Eta chapter of Alpha Chi Omega at Florida State University made an impressive impact this fall through various philanthropic fundraising efforts. The VP of Philanthropy, Claire along with her committee led chapter efforts. Our sisters demonstrated remarkable dedication and creativity in supporting critical causes and organizations.
Let’s break down our impressive totals:
Light the Night: $8670.46 Our chapter participated in the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Light the Night Walk, raising funds for blood cancer research and patient support. The chapter came in second place for overall fundraising and had the top fundraiser – Ann K, and two sisters in the top 30 Zoe S and Ryan B
Domestic Violence Awareness – $29,717. The chapter hosted their annual Donuts for DVA, DVA Gala
The chapter also participated in the local apartment complex Onyx philanthropy competition raising $1000 to be donated to DVA
Ellie Sims Named Room & Endowed Scholarship: $36,153- the chapter focused efforts on raising funds to name the kitchenette in the chapter facility. The facility will open in the Fall of 2025 with Ellie Sims Named Room, supporting future generations of Beta Eta sisters. The chapter also worked to successfully raise funds for the Ellie Sims Endowed Memorial scholarship program, directly impacting students’ educational pursuits. This semester’s fundraising efforts not only raised critical funds but also strengthened our bonds as sisters and our connection to the broader FSU community.
