2023 – the ladies of Alpha Chi Omega hosted the ladies of Phi Mu for a belonging event! Bracelet making and conversations!

VP of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, Anna partnered with leadership in Phi Mu to host a joint event. Ladies partnered with someone for the other chapter, joined in conversations, and followed prompts to build bracelets. The ladies also enjoyed lunch, followed by conversation debrief as a group.

2023 – Alpha Chi Sisters Volunteer at the local Refuge House Event!

The Building Hope: A Birthday Bash & Benefit for Refuge House event took place this past week!  The event was held at the Carriage House at Goodwood Museum & Gardens to celebrate the Refuge House’s 45th Birthday!  The event featured Tallahassee’s favorite band, Revival, wonderful food, and exciting silent auction items.

Ladies of the Beta Eta Chapter of Alpha Chi Omega were able to support the event, volunteering for set up and breakdown!

2023 – AXΩ Participates in Panhellenic Packed with Love event for Refuge house

The ladies of Alpha Chi Omega joined women from all Panhellenic chapters for a “Packed with Love” Event where women made care packages with toiletries for the Refuge House along with letters. We also participated in bracelet making and enjoyed hot coca and the sisterhood of the community!

2023 Alpha Chi Omega celebrates Galentines with a formal dinner, photo stations and more…

The ladies of Alpha Chi Omega kicked off Healthy Relationships week with a Galentine’s dinner. The VP of Membership Programming, Emma, and her committee worked with the Chapter Chef to create a custom menu – Caprese Salad, 6 oz Steaks, Lobster Tails or Stuffed Portabello Mushroom with Angel Hair Pasta, Seasoned Green Beans, and Rolls. Dessert was trays of custom petit fours for each table. The committee worked to decorate not only the dinning room, but the foyer for photos and fun! We are so thankful to our sisters, the amazing kitchen staff (chef and servers), our house director and also amazing alumnae advisors – Britain and Madison who helped make the night a success!! Already counting down to our next dinner event!

2023 – AXΩ Tables at Market Wednesday to raise awareness for Healthy Relationships week and upcoming Pizza Pie with Alpha Chi Event

The ladies of Alpha Chi Omega tabled at Market Wednesday near the union during healthy relationships week to raise awareness for the importance of Healthy Relationships, sharing resources, swag and info about the upcoming Pizza Pie for Alpha Chi Event. They also passed out carnations with a QR code to resources and link to the event! We hope our efforts help those who stopped by be able to identify a healthy/unhealthy relationship, provide resources for support, etc. We also hope to see people out at Pizza Pie on 2/23 at 5pm at the chapter house!

2023 Alpha Chi Cutie Pie Date Function

The ladies of Alpha Chi Omega hosted their guests at Railroad Square Craft House for an “Alpha Chi Cutie Pie” themed date function. The VP of Risk Management, Margaret, and Date Function Chair, Ravina worked with their committee to plan a night with great music, amazing food, and of course yard games, photo stations and more!

2023 Alpha Chi Omega hosts Best Buddies for Palentines Event

The ladies of Alpha Chi Omega Teamed up with FSU Best Buddies to host Palentines, – Valentine’s themed event! Best Buddies is an international non-profit organization that focuses on forming friendships with people with and without intellectual and developmental disabilities, as well as providing opportunities for leadership and jobs. 

Here at FSU, Alpha Chi Omega loves hosting an event with Best Buddies each semester to foster a positive environment based first and foremost on inclusion. It is exciting to see our members participate in fun and exciting events, such as our Trunk or Treat and Palentines. Additionally, Best Buddies hosts an annual Gala in the fall and a Friendship Walk in the spring; which many of our members attend. This is a fantastic organization to join if you are looking to meet awesome people and create life-long friendships. We are so proud of our sister Carley who serves as Best Buddies President!

2023 Alpha Chi Omega celebrates Fall Academic Success with Dean’s List Dessert

The ladies of Alpha Chi Omega had a successful fall semester academically. They ended the semester with a 3.46 GPA. The GPA landed them the #4 spot in Panhellenic and a spot above the all-sorority, all-FSU Female and ALL-FSU GPA! The chapter had 45 members on the President’s list (minimum of 12 hours and 4.0) and 124 on the Dean’s List (minimum of 12 hours and 3.5 or above).

The ladies celebrated their sister’s success in several ways. 1. Highlighting overall, and individual accomplishments on social media and celebrating with Dean’s List Dessert! This is an invitation-only event for sisters on Dean’s President’s list following a meal.

2023 AXΩ Leaders take on AXΩ National leadership academy!

Leadership Academy is Alpha Chi Omega’s premier training for newly elected chapter presidents and executive board officers. Held annually, the weekend training combines innovative learning sessions with sisterhood to inspire new officers as they take on leadership positions in their chapters.  

Alpha Chi Omega hosted chapter presidents, vice presidents risk management, vice presidents new member education, and vice presidents membership programming at Leadership Academy 2023. Beta Eta officers in attendance were: Leah, Emma H, Emma K, and Margaret attended! Florida State also had a large number of Leadership Academy Facilitators. – Brittany Devies (Current House Director), Madison Drummond (BH Alumna), Grant Mitchell , Derrick Pacheco, Ravi Bhatt, Gen Ramirez , Joey McGinn (FSU alum) and Casey Ford (FSU alum)

We were also excited to see our Chapter Advisor, Britain, and Alumna Aggie at Leadership Academy. The ladies were attending as part of the Discovery Experience Track – an alumna track for generous donors to the Real. Strong. Women. Fund. These alumnae have the opportunity to see their gifts in action during Leadership Academy, meet their chapters’ current collegiate leaders, and hear from Alpha Chi Omega leaders and industry professionals about the challenges and opportunities facing Alpha Chi Omega today!
