Alpha Chi Omega Loves ESPN College Game Day

The Ladies of the Beta Eta chapter of Alpha Chi Omega welcomed ESPN College Game Day to the Florida State University Campus for the FSU vs Oklahoma University Game. There met at the chapter house at 6am, to make the trek to Langford Green. They donned shirts, buttons and signs sure to get them on TV, and showed support for current collegians “Grandpa Lee” with a sign on the chapter house, and quote on the back of their “Game Day shirts”

It is a known fact that the Beta Eta chapter of Alpha Chi Omega has some of the best servers on campus. This has been true as long as we can remember. Many of the servers end up marrying Alpha Chi Omega sisters.. Beta Eta’s chapter sweetheart

At Beta Eta, we would like to recognize our current chapter sweetheart that has been a very important asset to our chapter for quite some time. Ben Gauntlett has worked as an Alpha Chi server ever since the Spring of 2009, and always has a smile on his face and is excited to see and talk to every Alpha Chi sister.

In the Fall of 2010, the chapter elected him sweetheart, and since then he has gone above and beyond helping the chapter with any task that may arise- whether it be picking up an extra dinner shift or coming in to work during recruitment week to help move the stage after skit day.Above: Ben with Alpha Chi sisters Lindsay, Jenna and Morgan getting ready to welcome NM 2011 home on Bid day. 

Ben is one of the founding fathers (as well as their Homecoming Chair) of the Beta Eta chapter of Pi Kappa Phi, and as FSU Homecoming partners, Alpha Chi is so excited to help bring this pairing to the top!  He is currently a Senior at FSU studying Social Sciences and is dating Alpha Chi sister Lindsay Anderson (NM 2008).

Recruitment Preview- Round 2- House Tours

During Round 2- Service Round, the collegians give the potential new members a house tour. We were able to snap a few photos of several of the bedrooms in a hope to give alumna a virtual house tour.. Be sure to check back throughout the fall semester for posts featuring other rooms in the chapter house

 The photos below showcase one of the 2 girl rooms on the East side of the chapter house. These girls have their desk in the study room.

 The photos below showcase a 2 girl room on the West side of the house. The room is part of the 2003 addition. It also has the new bedroom furniture (beds, desks and chairs) that will be phased into the house in upcoming years.

Recruitment Preview – Service Round

Round 2 of Recruitment is this Wednesday and Thursday. The round focuses on the chapter’s philanthropic endeavors, as well as their involvement in campus and community philanthropic efforts.  This year the chapter created a philanthropy video which was shown to all Potential New Members and focused on Domestic Violence Awareness and Prevention.

The ladies wore khaki bottoms and teal tops with nude shoes.  The flowers were white and green. All of the dining room chairs donned the chapter’s chair covers, and blue ribbons were tied on the outer chairs.

The 2nd round also allows the women to take all Potential New Members on a house tour. Check back tomorrow for an update on the house tour!
